The building complex of the Esterházy Castle in Fertőd and the contemporary history exhibition in it are the main sights of the city of Fertőd, one of the outstanding tourist attractions of Hungary. The largest and most beautiful baroque castle in Hungary, the “Hungarian Versailles”, was built by the Esterházys between 1720-66. From May you can visit the beautiful Margit Cziráky rose garden next to the castle.
